Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all start back this week-don’t forget to bring in your forms for Family Camp – we want as many families as possible to join the fun and games in June!!
We hope that you all have had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to a fun-filled 2014!!
During the course of the year please keep checking the website regularly as we will be posting all the information about forthcoming activities and events on the website. If you haven’t got the password – contact your section leader.
If you haven’t made your New Year Resolution yet (or even if you have) why not make a resolution to get more involved with the scout group and offer to help out more regularly at section meetings? Your section leaders need all the help they can get and as the saying goes….. “Many hands make light work”!!
We also need help fund raising and to maintain/improve the HQ – so if you’re not able to help at a section meeting there are plenty of other ways in which your help could make a difference!!
Leaders, committee members and regular helpers enjoy their annual Christmas celebration at the Railway Bell.
Check out the photos on Flickr and enjoy the short (if wobbly) video – here Merry Christmas . Good to see all those volunteers that work so hard to provide a vibrant programme for all our young people having a great time!!
Although maybe we could benefit from some singing lessons!! – I’ll leave you to decide……
Many thanks to all those came and supported the quiz on Saturday – which raised just over £300 for the group
Calling all 3rd Hampton Beavers, Cubs and Scouts – and their families.
Next summer we are holding a group camp for members and their families to attend and enjoy the fun that can be had on camp. We will be organising a fun-filled weekend and hope that this will become an annual event!!
More details and the booking form are in the Camp Details section of the website – if you don’t have the password – speak to your section leader!!
Waitrose at Hampton have decided to make 3rd Hampton Hill Scout Group one of the three “good causes” which will receive funding from Waitrose.
So when you go shopping at Waitrose in Hampton don’t forget to pick up a green plastic token at the till and put it into the slot marked 3rd Hampton Hill Scout Group, in the container on your left as you walk towards the exit.
The more green tokens in 3HH’s container, the more money 3HH will receive from Waitrose.
The scheme runs from this Sunday, 1st December to 31st December. Please tell all your family and friends about this fundraising opportunity and encourage them to pick up a green plastic token at the till when they’ve paid for their shopping, and put it in 3HH’s slot.
Just a reminder that we are rifle shooting at Twickenham tomorrow night (usual meeting times) Directions are available in the camps section and permission form in the general information section. If you don’t bring a completed form you can’t shoot – parents are welcome to stay and have a go if they wish!!
The club has a small tuck shop so bring a small amount of pocket money if you want a can, hot drink, crisps or chocolate bar!!
10 scouts spent yesterday exploring London via the Monopoly Board. On arrival at Waterloo they took turns to roll the dice and then to navigate their team (and leaders) to each location via foot, bus and tube.
The pictures will soon be on Flickr – as you will see the highlight for many was the stop off at M&M world
(funnily enough not a new square on the board – but a welcome treat!!)
The trip was preceded by a sleepover at our HQ and a very early wake up and breakfast!!
